Christmas Luncheon
Women's Corona Society, Hong Kong Branch - a big thank you for inviting me to your Christmas lunch to give a talk about the trek & why I did it. Your donation highly appreciated!
To find out about this great group of women, check out their website. They do lots of fabulous hiking amongst many other things!

Christmas Fair
More kindness, rather extraordinary & very special. Thank you to Cath Bourke (from PTA of Australian International School). And Natalie - hostess for the evening. And friends Desti, Nicky, Louise & Claire.
So wonderful of you to choose the Australian Cancer Research Foundation as the beneficiary of the proceeds. Thank you for inviting me along also!
What a fantastic evening it was. There was a wonderful spirit to the evening. An unbelievably whopping amount of just over HK$24,000! Around 3,500 Australian dollars.

Dear All,
Just to let you know that there will be a charity Christmas sale next Monday evening, at Natalie McDonald’s home in Clearwater Bay.
Desti (handbags), Nicky (jewellery), Susannah (kids’ swimwear) and Louise (Xmas trees) will all be in attendance. You may also have the opportunity to order your Christmas wines.
The main attraction will be Lou McWilliam, an amazing lady , who has just completed a trek on the Great Wall, to raise awareness of, and funds for, cancer research. All proceeds of the evening will go towards the Australian Cancer Research Foundation. Lou sadly lost her sister, Amanda, to cancer 4 years ago. Lou will be with us on Monday, to share her story, and the photos she took during the trek. You can visit her website www.go-louey-go-4-acrf-great-wall-china.net for more information.
There will be a $100 charge, which goes to the ACRF. This includes food and wine, as well as the opportunity to stock up on Chrissie presents – although there is absolutely no pressure to buy. The main aim of the evening is to have fun, and while doing so, raise money for a worthy cause. The vendors will also be donating a percentage of their sales.
On a personal note, I heard Lou speak at an AISHK Parent Association meeting a few weeks ago, and as someone with sisters, she really struck a note with me. Obviously you don’t need to be a sister to be touched by cancer, so please come, and support the ACRF if you are able to do so.
Details:
Monday, November 26, 7.30 – 10.30pm
Parking is available at the entrance to the complex (which is a cul-de-sac). No parking is available inside the complex.
Hope to see you on Monday
Cath
